Baby steps

What is about children that universally makes us happy being around them ? What makes them so sweet and yet direct, so fresh and yet wise, so confident and yet humble ? It is their innocence, the real root of all that is good within us.

In our subtle system it is also the root chakra that gives support to the motherly Kundalini energy and through her to our entire subtle system. It is through the power of this chakra that all troubles and imbalances inside us can be improved. This is why becoming aware of the power of innocence within us and trusting that it is an eternal quality that can be forgotten but not lost is so important for any spiritual evolution.

The mark of all spiritual masters and great incarnations has been the expression of complete, divine, innocence. The transition to an enlightened state is the gift of this power first and foremost. As soon as we get our Self-Realization, the process of unfolding of its many facets starts and eventually all the chakras are supported in their actions by the power of innocence.

As we start meditating, a good way to balance and heal our root chakra is through its element which is the Mother Earth. We can spend some time sitting directly on the ground and it also helps if we watch Mother Earth and its beauty and let our thoughts be silenced by her peace. Those are like baby steps on our way to full awaken our inner power of the eternal child.
